Services

Residential Care – The primary service we offer is long-term residential care for elderly people, no longer able to manage to live independently.

Respite Care – Where possible we are pleased to accommodate residents for short term respite care to give family or carers a break for a week or longer, or to allow time for convalescence after illness or a hospital visit.

Day Care – We are able to offer a number of day places providing help with personal care as well as providing a delicious home-cooked meal at lunch time. Those living alone have a chance to get out and meet people, have a good meal and join in an activity or entertainment.

Independent Living Apartment – We are also able to offer the Lodge, a one bedroom ground floor self-contained apartment with living room, kitchen and bathroom, for independent supported living. This is an ideal stepping stone, whereby residents can live with the support and services provided by the adjacent care home, but retain their independence and feeling of having their own home. The Apartment is let on a fully maintained assured shorthold tenancy, with a menu of additional services such as cleaning, meals, and access to all of the care facilities and activities within  Somerset House.

Fee Rates From May 2022

Residential and Respite care

Single room: The weekly fee charged for self-funding residents is currently from £650 to £770 per week.

Single room with en-suite WC: The weekly fee charged for self-funding residents is currently from £770 to £790 per week.

Single room with en-suite WC and shower: The weekly fee charged for self-funding residents is currently from £850 to £895 per week.

Day Care fee rates are currently from £65 per half day.

We have some smaller single rooms available for residents funded by their local authority, with rates starting at £550. Please check with us for availability.
