Somerset House is privately owned by Kingfisher Healthcare, an independent care company owned by Somerset residents Giles and Helen Livingstone. It enjoys an excellent reputation with the local community supported by recommendations and referrals from local health and social care professionals. We continuously strive to build on this reputation and to develop the service, with feedback regularly monitored under our Quality Assurance policy.

A key feature which sets Somerset House apart from other care homes is its small size and homely nature. As a smaller home we are able to be highly responsive to the changing needs of our residents. We are therefore very flexible and focussed on providing the right outcomes within a unique family-like setting. Our accommodation is domestic in nature, not institutional, and this enables us to keep Somerset House as homely and characterful as possible.
